3mo only feeds to sleep for naps, need to break the cycle before my leave ends

Sleep

My baby is 3mos+ and has always been a short napper (20-30 mins, sometimes a random 2hr contact nap, difficult to put down), but sleeps well at night (knock on wood). I go back to work in a month, and I need to find a way to help him sleep during the day without breastfeeding. My husband tries so many things but it always ends with the baby scream crying and me having to intervene before I rip my hair out. He used to take a pacifier, but not anymore. We do sleep-feed-play, drowsy but awake, etc. I just tried a bunch of things to put him down and as soon as he even enters the dark bedroom he’s crying. I gave up, fed him, and he fell asleep in 30 seconds. Any tips?
