Non-mobile gall bladder neck stone
Reading over NP notes patient came in with Biliary colic like symptoms completely normal vital signs and lab work no evidence of cholecystitis, but US read came back as non-mobile gallbladder neck stone. NP discharged because pain improved. Typically, I would be speaking with surgery about this patient just to discuss. I’m pretty frustrated because that didn’t happen, this might be a dumb question, but how bad is this? I understand that could clearly cause obstructive process, including cholecystitis. Do you guys ever send people home like this that have stone in this position. Was given return precautions, of course, but still how bad is this to not have consulted surgery? Appreciate your responses!
