LG 27” OLED. Is this normal? Defective?

I got a ultragear OLED today. My first OLED. The video linked here shows a lot of flickering on screen. I reduce the refresh rate from 480 to 240, and it helped. But did not eliminate it.

It’s most prominent when two windows are open, or in menus. It’s exacerbated when moving the cursor around.

I tinkered with some settings but no real solution. This was on sale for prime day and returning it would inevitably kick me out of prime day pricing waiting for the refund / repurchase.

Is this normal? I reached out to LG and they just suggested to return it.

If it is normal, what’s the point in having a 480hz monitor with all the flickering? Alt + tabbing kicks it off too. Sometimes a random flicker on the screen bottom, etc.
