TS Clearance with foreign spouse

Hello all

Recently I spoked to a recruiter about Dual Track Program where I can apply for officer and enlist process at the same time. If I wasn't selected for OTS, I will enlist, and I will choose my top 3 jobs instead of 10. And I'm interested in Cyber and Intel jobs.

Problem is, my recruiter is telling me that having a foreign spouse automatically won't get me a TS and they sound pretty sure about it. But he is not even from Middle East countries or China, or any countries that automatically disqualifies. We are in the process of getting green card, just not sure how long it will take. The recruiter even make it sound like even a green card might not be enough. The recruiter is trying to persuade me into just enlisting and that I might be able to get a Secret clearance just not Top Secret.

Did anyone ran into this issue? Should I talk to a different recruiter?
