Has anyone else had trouble getting on the swing in co-op?

Someone on my friends list just invited me to swing with them on the new swing by the water. I saw her swing for three seconds at a time before I drowned right in front of her repeatedly, unable to move. When I respawned and walked all the way back I couldn’t even sit on the swing and was instead stuck in a sitting position on the ground 😭 Has anyone else had this happen or is it just my internet?? 🙃
