> **SBU Detains FSB Agent Who Directed Russian Strikes on Kherson**

> The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained another Russian agent in Kherson. Acting on behalf of the FSB, he directed Russian airstrikes and artillery fire from the left bank of the region toward the regional capital.

> According to SBU cyber specialists, the agent used a chatbot administered by the Russian intelligence service to coordinate enemy fire.
>
> The investigation revealed that the perpetrator was a 25-year-old unemployed local resident who supported the complete occupation of southern Ukraine. He was recruited by the FSB via Telegram channels where he had posted pro-Russian comments.
>
> One of the agent’s primary tasks was to locate and transmit the geolocations of temporary Defense Forces bases as well as energy infrastructure facilities.

> Simultaneously, the agent tracked the locations and consequences of Russian strikes (“arrivals”) and reported this information back to the Russian intelligence service.
>
> SBU officers exposed and apprehended the agent.

> Additionally, the Security Service conducted a range of measures to secure the positions of Defense Forces and energy facilities.

> During a search, authorities seized 2 laptops and 6 mobile phones with SIM cards from various operators, which he used to register fake accounts to conceal his collaboration with the enemy.

> SBU investigators have charged him under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
>
> The suspect is in custody and faces a potential life sentence with asset confiscation.
>
> The operation was carried out by SBU officers in Kherson Oblast under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor’s office.

SBU detained 25 year old resident in Kherson for providing coordinates of temporary AFU bases and energy infrastructure in Kherson to the FSB over telegram. The man  was recruited after posting pro-Russian comments on a telegram channel and voicing his support for the occupation of south Ukraine.
