Homecoming Lacks Diversity

Every powerset is the same.

Oh you want to be a blaster? Well do you prefer -tohit or a stun? Because your ult is doing 250dmg across the board. Hur durr but what about fire hurr durr. Wow we have a whopping one or two sets with DoT that change the dmg slightly. Amazing.

Maybe you want a debuff? What color do you prefer because that's basically the only difference.

Oh you want to play melee? Well once again because anti social groups that are obsessed with excel lack creativity you can choose weapon or some flavor of energy/element that will all basically act and feel the exact same except for one that does a bit higher single target.

What's that? The psycho creeps that ran the private server made a completely broken class called Sentinel that makes everything else pointless but refuse to allow melee to do decent AoE? Makes complete sense. God forbid a weapon set hit 10 enemies with their Ult, that's just unreasonable. A Sent doing it from a distance with easier survivability? OF COURSE THATS ALLOWED YOU DIM WITTED FOOL HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THE AUTHORITY OF ANTI SOCIAL GROUPS THAT WANT TO ROLE PLAY WITH CHILDREN

It's like nothing makes any sense and it feels as though the people running this literally want people to stop playing so they can go back to hiding in the shadows like a bunch of sick creeps.

Even the balance changes are INSANE

Assault Rifle can't hit 16? ARROWS HAS NO CAP. You took away AR's best power and replaced it with ignite? A completely trash idea that only the lowest iq individual could possibly conceive? "LETS SCREW THIS ALREADY WEAK AND UNDERPLAYED SET SO THOSE HAVING FUN CURRENTLY CAN'T ANYMORE" "ok why?" "BECAUSE I LACK PURPOSE IN MY DAILY LIFE AND NEED TO SPREAD MY MISERY TO ANYONE I CAN EFFECT."

Nerfs? No seriously....NERFS? IN A DEAD GAME? HOWS THE METH? Cause holy moses that is just beyond crazy.

Anyways it's too bad small groups of people chose to destroy the remnants of a really great game. A game that formely embraced difference. A game that wanted players to have fun.

Super strength? Nerfed Fire Armor? Nerfed AR? Nerfed Melee? Pointless Blasters? Pointless Healing? Pointless

But if you want to play a completely broken powerset that makes zero sense thematically there's always Psi Armor? Or Bio Armor? Or some other variant that mixes Res and Regen, because that's your choice now. Res/Regen or Defense. That's it. An offensive set designed to kill fast enough for you to survive? We can't have that in City of Grey. That's too strong and some loner with no life might cry to his discord kitty that he just can't handle watching people enjoy themselves in a way that's different from his own, because understanding external perspective requires a level of intelligence not found in the controlling members of Homecoming. Only personal preference.

It's too bad our only chance at a genuine revival of CoH was stomped out by a few selfish brats, but boy isn't that on the nose for how the world is today.
