Blackpowder cleaning

Just how much cleaning does BP need.

I have a flintlock rifle and after every shoot I take all metal accessories, including the trigger mechanism. Take the flash hole liner screw out. Everything.

Soak them, brush them. Spray them with a black powder neutralizing spray, Dry it completely. Relube all the parts. Froglube has been nice for the mechanisms and outside, and bore butter in the barrel.

This takes a long time.

Is this all necessary? I heard of some guys just running a bore butter patch after a shoot and leaving it otherwise.
