"why didnt you attend this event or did this thing?"

"I cant because i was doing this other thing or just wont be available" is REASON

"Why didnt you do this thing that was your responsibility or stuff that we agreed was your job?"

"Oh you didnt tell me about it" "Oh i forgot" THAT is EXCUSE
