Computer science as a subject in 11th and 12th

So my brother is currently in 11th we have taken admission his subjects PCM but there is another option of taking CS or not that is computer science. I want to ask everyone does taking computer science in 11th and 12th matter or is it of any use since my brother would write jee and then go for engineering so is it okay if we don't take computer science as subject and only take PCM or does computer science serve as an advantage when taken with PCM we are confused so anyone who knows this pls help!!!
