Should I move in with my long-distance boyfriend or wait it out longer?

So I’m in a bit of a situation and I’d really appreciate some honest advice. I’ve been in a long-distance relationship for almost two years now. We met online during the pandemic, took things slow, visited each other a few times, and honestly things have been great. He’s kind, supportive, and genuinely makes me feel safe and loved.

Now here’s the thing. He’s asked me to move in with him. Like actually make the jump, leave my city, pack up, and start building a life together in his. We’ve talked about it before but now he’s ready and serious. And I love him... but I’m scared.

I’ve never lived away from home. My friends are here. My job is decent. My family’s super close. The idea of leaving everything behind to live with someone I’ve technically only seen a handful of times in person feels like a huge gamble. But at the same time, part of me really wants to take the risk. I keep thinking what if this is the leap that actually makes my life better.

I’ve been going in circles with this decision for weeks. He’s not pressuring me but I can tell he’s hoping I’ll say yes. I’m scared of regretting it either way.

So Reddit, do I take the leap and move in with him or play it safe and keep the distance going a while longer? What would you do in my shoes?
