Pretty new- any tips?

I've been picking for a bit with a shitty set that came with a clear practice lock that was made basically entirely out of plastic. I recently bought a masterlock because I'm a beginner and i have to use my shitty half broken set with a total of 4 picks. I did recently order a set from multipick which I should get early next month. Wish me luck.
