PRN Med

Hey all. I was recently prescribed .5mg of Xanax as a “PRN- as needed” anxiety medication a few weeks ago. I was told I could half them if I wanted to instead. I take omeprazole daily, 20mg so the times I have taken even the .25mg, I am dead tired. I also get anxious taking Xanax… any sort of benzodiazepine kinda scare me. I’m not sure this med is for me. Anyone else have any PRN anxiety meds they’ve had prescribed to them that worked and didn’t make you so drowsy?? Where you could still function like at work or at an event? TIA!
