Total war shogun 2 fots

Hey guys so I recently finished a campaign of tob as wessex. It was pretty fun and sort of easy as most of you would expect. So thing is I'm a noob and tye next total war I was considering is shogun 3 fots but it looks sort of intimidating for a noob like me. What could I expect and any starting tips? I want to play as a samaurai faction. Thanks!
