Are those realistic criteria for finding a partner?
I'm 19 years old and neither attempted dating someone nor had a strong interest into pursuing such activities, since I never developed any romantic feelings for fellow humans. If I would consider starting a relationship with someone (xx-chromosomes preferred), this person should have an academic background and good career prospects. Recently I wondered, whether those criteria are compatible with some weird interests that I fail to refrain from pursuing. Those interests make up a significant part of my activities and therefore would have to be tolerated by a possible partner in the future. The special interests that might be a breaking point include literature by Marquis de Sade, Pasolinis last film, nouvelle vague cinema and fusion Jazz. I am worried, that there aren't many human beings out there (and in my age group, not to mention fitting external features), who share those interests and criteria for a long term relationship and thereby I will have to stay alone for eternity, when I refuse to change. Now I wonder, what you think would be the best ways of finding a matching person, because I doubt that most traditional ways of dating or meeting someone aren't gonna work out in this case.
