Children’s picture book asking “where am i?”

IIRC the book was small and red, and it was creepy to me as a kid. It’s pages were asking something like “where am i?”/“am i here? No…” and at the end you find a monster(?) that says “you found me”.

I don’t remember many details other than the art was sketchy and it scared me when I was younger. I read it in the early 2000’s.
