Help - World Religion ee

I am having a huge dilemma, no joke. I have a week until the final is due!!

I chose Shinto as the World Religion I am researching, and have quite a hefty amount, with lots and lots of time invested. I just read something though that says I can't study a religion outside of the course, with the consequence being an N (No grade awarded)…aka no diploma... is this true?

Do I need to change my whole topic?
