Can I pitch a tent in the Skull Cavern levels ?

I have to reach level 100 in Skull Cave. I wonder if I can sleep in my tent in some levels if I manage to kill all monsters in it before. Is it the way you do, or is there somme over wayx I didn't think about ? Do you have somme advices to give ?
