Avoid GOMO at All Costs – Worst Customer Experience Ever
I started my replacement SIM request with GOMO on July 2, and it has been nothing but a nightmare since then. I submitted the required documents and was told they'd get back to me with an update, but no one ever did.
So I followed up via GOMO's Facebook chat, waited 2 hours, and finally got SIM replacement approval on July 4. I paid the ₱150 replacement + shipping fee on July 5. When I followed up again on July 7, I had to wait 3 more hours just to be told it would take another 2 business days to validate the payment. Again, I was told they’d update me, but nothing.
On July 10, I waited another 3 hours on chat to check the status myself. I was told the SIM was ready for dispatch but still no tracking number. I followed up the next day, same treatment, no progress, and very dismissive responses.
Finally, on July 12 (after more waiting), I got a tracking number. I received my replacement SIM on Tuesday. But the pain didn’t stop there.
Since both my phone and SIM were lost, I couldn’t receive the OTP needed to log in to the GOMO app. I had to go through a manual OTP via phone call, and now the app is locked, so I’m told to wait another 24 hours. Just when I thought this ordeal would finally end, another delay.
To compare, my other SIM was from DITO, and I used the same documents. I got the replacement SIM on the same day in under 10 minutes, and it was already activated.
I deeply regret using GOMO as my primary number, especially for government transactions. I strongly advise against it. Stick to the main telcos if you care about service and reliability. If you can avoid GOMO altogether, even better.
