Mk10 Front Parking Sensor Issue

Hi all, I've recently purchased a 2019 Civic which has front parking sensors which is great, unfortunately however they go off a lot when there's nothing near me. I've only noticed this in the rain which is an issue I can't really ignore seeing as I'm in the UK.

I've seen a couple of mixed things online. A few people have mentioned that Honda were replacing the grills with a new design that slightly tilted the sensors so that rain drops didn't sit on them. Another is that it's water ingress around the sensor and that spraying them with WD40 is an easy fix.

Are there any other fixes? It might be a while before I can get a grill and I'll have to buy this myself as it's out of Hondas warranty now.
