Bibaa & Nicole: Murder in the Park (Channel 5)
📺 Documentary Review: Bibaa & Nicole: Murder in the Park (Channel 5)
⭐️ 5/10
This Channel 5 documentary covers the deeply tragic case of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman — two sisters brutally murdered in 2020 during a
birthday celebration in a London park. But while the crime is harrowing, the real horror is in how the Metropolitan Police responded.
👎 The initial missing persons reports were mishandled, leading to unnecessary delays.
💔 Even worse, PC Deniz Jaffer and PC Jamie Lewis — officers sent to guard the crime scene — took photos of the victims and shared them.
That’s not just unprofessional. It’s inhuman.
They should’ve received at least five years. Anything less feels like an insult.
👍 The documentary does give space to the families’ grief and courage, especially their mother, Mina Smallman — a voice of strength in the face of injustice.
👎 But it doesn’t go far enough. Institutional failures, systemic racism, and accountability are barely explored.
🎯 Verdict:
A devastating story — and a documentary that exposes just enough to make you angry, but not enough to feel like real justice has been done. It’s worth watching — but it leaves you wanting more than just coverage. It leaves you wanting change.
