is it possible for me to convert into islam ? and if yes then how ?
on behalf of u/Unlikely_Camera_329 So, I'm a lower-caste Hindu from Bihar. Even though I come from an upper-middle-class background and am good-looking, I still face discrimination just because of the state and caste I belong to. Recently, a friend of mine who is a Rajput jokingly said to me, "Bro, I'm a Rajput but still having lunch with you." Like, what the actual hell? This guy literally looks like a short, dark-skinned, overweight dude (in this case, lookism kind of makes sense), while I'm tall, far better-looking, wealthier, and more hygienic than him—yet he still has the audacity to say that. On top of that, many Hindus from other states also discriminate against Biharis. I don't get why they think they're superior. A lot of this comes especially from South Indian Hindus, whose English accent is actually one of the main reasons the Indian accent is mocked globally. Also, just recently, a bridge collapsed in Gujarat, and Gujarat is the highest consumer of tobacco in India—but still, Biharis are the ones who get stereotyped. Honestly, I've observed that Muslims don't discriminate among themselves based on where they're from. There seems to be a strong sense of brotherhood in Islam. Muslims from all over the world unite for causes like Palestine. That kind of unity is what motivates me to convert to Islam and leave this religion behind. I really want to convert—even if it's against my family's will. So, is there any way I can convert? If yes, how can I go about it? By the way, I'm currently studying BTech in a tier-1 college in India. I've just completed my first year and ranked among the top 5 students. I'm hoping to get out of this shithole country as soon as possible.
