Mukhtar Al Thaqafi

Salam Alaikum, as we all know Ashura came to an end and every year after Ashura I always start watching the series MukhtarNameh. While watching this show I got some questions and I did some research and only found hatred against Mukhtar, what is the true Shia view of this man. Is he good is he bad? Please provide evidence from our scholars and ulema.
