Looking for the best way reading PDF tabs

After a couple of years studying with web courses, PDFs, YouTube tutorials, and so on, I still haven't found an effective way to use PDFs with tabs or follow along with videos. Like many of you maybe, I often need to pause and rewind videos while trying to read the correct part of the tablature, which can be really frustrating, beacause I need to leave the guitar, working on the keyboard or mouse then returning to the guitar (pc already has a double display).

Right now I'm trying out learningguitarnow.com, which uses the powerful Soundslice.com technology. It seems to solve all these problems — but of course, it’s not free, and it would force me to keep a monthly or yearly subscription active in order to access the system.

Do you know of any alternative similar systems that could help with this? Thanks!
