I’ve been getting bites since June 26. Saw the first bug on July 9. Got my first pesticide treatment July 12.

From July 9-11 I started sleeping in my mom’s room (didn’t get any new bites) The night after my first treatment (July 12) I decided to sleep in my own bed. That night I found 3 very very small bugs. I’ll insert photo. From then on I’ve been sleeping in my mom’s room until tonight. I found out that the bugs will just follow me there so now I’m in my own room.

I believe I have a very minor infestation. I’ve only seen 5 bugs total 4/5 were most likely in their first stage. I did find one that was a little bigger/darker. I’m not sure if the pest control found more in my room after that.

My main concern is. Is it possible for my infestation to get worse after treating it one time. Or will it only get better from here? I have another scheduled 3 weeks from now but I just want peace of mind it’ll only get better from here.

Steps I’ve taken since discovering first bug:
- washed all clothes, towels, blankets in hot water + dried in hot temp.
- decluttered whole apartment (clothes and furniture)
- bagged all clean clothes and keeping clothes I plan to wear / am wearing in plastic bags and totes.
- bagged all un-used pillows (bed + couch)
- pillows I’m using and mattresses encased in bed bug covers.
- vacuuming + immediately emptying and cleaning vacuum canister.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I should be doing.

Questions I have:
- I have a Dyson. Should I be cleaning the long pole part of the vacuum?
- are people (boyfriend) allowed to come over?
- does having cats make it harder for the infestation to go away? Will the bugs just transfer around the house on my cats creating more colonies?
- is there a way I can repel them from my body from being bitten.

Thank you 🙏🙏
