DAE not tell anyone about their pregnancy, like, at all?
I’m 15w pregnant with my second daughter and I’m terrified. She wasn’t expected (used BC), and we found out we were having her a week before my husband was laid off from his job due to the federal budget cuts in the U.S. We were already struggling and barely making it work on 40k/year for a family of 3, but now it’s not doable due to unemployment only covering our rent
I finally qualified for food assistance, but with my daughter’s formula costs (not covered by WIC) we’re still going into debt every month paying for essentials. I’m about to max my credit card, and my husband hasn’t had luck with finding a job for the past two months. We’re completely and utterly fucked, and I’m terrified for our future
I don’t want to tell anyone about the pregnancy and am wondering if anyone has attempted this before. I’m estranged from my father and I don’t feel particularly close to my mother. She makes 7 figures a year and has never offered to help me, she only says “I’m sorry to hear that” when I tell her about my financial struggles. I don’t have support at all
I have a super small bump (my babies are small) and I think I’ll be able to hide it. I just don’t know what’s going to happen when I magically introduce my newborn in January. My mom thinks we’re closer than we are and would feel really hurt
Not sure what to do. I feel really embarrassed and ashamed because of finances even though I’m a good mother to my daughter. I feel so fucking frustrated and failed by my country, and want more than anything to be able to provide. I feel like such a failure
