Has anyone read Keurig Dr. Pepper’s State of Beverages Trend Report?

Just came across Keurig Dr. Pepper’s State of Beverages Trend Report, and some of the numbers really stood out:

  • 44% of Americans try a new beverage each month, rising to 72% among Gen Z
  • 65% of adults now customize their beverages, with 75% of Gen Z & Millennials doing so
  • Top motivations? New flavors, trusted brands, low/zero sugar, and visual/health benefits

Most popular customization ingredients:

  • 52% Sweeteners
  • 51% Creamers/Milk
  • 45% Fruit purees
  • 44% Flavor drops

If you're in beverage NPD, branding, or packaging, this opens up so many interesting questions:

  1. How do you package for a generation that wants to remix everything?
  2. How important is visual appeal on shelves and in social media?
  3. How do product teams manage rapid experimentation when flavors are constantly rotating?

Would love to hear what you guys think!
