Can anyone suggest resources to find free/cheap baby groups/activities?

My wife and I have a 10 month old, no other kids. We’re worried about socialization since kiddo doesn’t go to day care and never hangs out with other kids (we don’t have any friends with babies close in age). Also, having some activities/play dates would help break up the days and provide some relief from being baby’s sole source of engagement 24/7.

Surely other parents have run into this problem and have started regular activity/play groups? How do I go about finding these like-positioned parents?
