Just learning about Quakers/Friends

So I’m not entirely sure what the point of this post is, to learn more, to find community maybe, I’m not sure. I’ve very recently, like within the past week or so, learned about quakers. I would consider myself a Buddhist, as that’s what I was raised with, but I’d also say I’m kind of an atheist. It entirely depends on the definition of God. A thinking sentient being who created everything and knows everything, not really something I believe in. Some sort of higher energy that flows through everything and that we should all work towards becoming closer to, sure, some might call that God, others might not. I guess I’m just interested in a religious group that seems very free with how members believe, or worship (personally not a fan of the word due to some connotations I associate it with but many use it), or practice their beliefs. There doesn’t seem to be such a strict hierarchy I see so much of in so many religions. If I were to end this with a question, I guess I’d just ask what it means to you to be a Quaker/Friend?
