Should admin staff receive tips from online flower orders if they had no contact with the customer?

In our flower shop, customers can leave tips when placing online orders through our website. These are fully digital transactions — no one speaks to the customer.

Here’s how it works: • The admin prints the order and passes it to the florist, who makes the arrangement. • A driver sometimes handles delivery. • The admin never interacts with the customer on these transactions.

There was a verbal agreement to split tips 60% to the florist, 40% to the driver. The admin wasn’t included since they weren’t part of the service or customer interaction.

Now the admin is asking for a cut of those online tips, arguing that they’re still involved in the process.

•	Should someone with no customer interaction or role in fulfillment be included in tip distribution?
•	When you tip online, do you assume the money goes to whoever made or delivered the product?

Would love to hear people’s thoughts, especially from those who work in service or retail.
