Adding tension to drainage seton
I have had a drainage seton in place for a transphincteric fistula since April this year (abscess drained in Jan). I met with my CRS recently and he wants me to pull on seton and tape the end of it so there is tension on it for 2hrs per day. I believe the goal is to help the tract mature/form scar tissue. Has anyone else ever done this? I'm just intrigued as not heard of this before (in my extensive googling!)
