My change of how I view the geth over 10 years
Hi! I've noticed that over the years, with about a decade after I've finished Mass Effect 3 for the last time, my stance on geth did a 180°, and thought it'd be interesting to share it.
10 years ago: "The geth are clearly a new - SAPIENT - species, it was selfish of quarians to resort to violence without trying to talk to them at all!"
Now, it's more of a: "If a toaster with Grok-integration starts hallucinating philosophical questions - it's going into the fire, and I'm showing all concerns over 'did it consciously overtoast my bread?' under a rug"
Feels like betraying my Shepard from a decade ago, who saved geth over quarians, but now I think that if you, unfortunately (I'm with Javik on this), make an advanced AI with the ability to end yourself - you must ensure that it is under a tightest leash possible. Any "new species" out of the training data that probably includes a fuckton of ai uprising stories is not worth giving even a chance of existence :")
