ILR Application Date: 28 days before 5 years, or visa expiry?

Confused re wording on official websites/docs.

My original visa was granted 2 Aug 2020, I'm on a 5-year route. My current visa is valid until 18 Aug 2025 this year.

When is the earliest I can apply for ILR? Is it:

(A) 28 days before 5 years, 2 Aug 2025 -> 5 July 2025

(B) 28 days before current visa expiry, 18 Aug 2025 - 21 July 2025
