Is Dota 2 still actually fun right now?

Ever since teamfights started giving more gold and XP while jungle farming got nerfed, it feels like almost every game is forced into this 5-man teamplay meta. Heroes with strong AOE damage are always dominant, and a lot of other heroes barely see any play just because they're not great in teamfights.

As a solo queue player, I constantly run into teammates who just do their own thing, and it often ends up with situations where I’ve built an advantage in my lane—but somehow the enemy team is still ahead overall. I’m not here to flame my teammates, I just find these games boring. I don’t want one-sided stomps. I want close, competitive matches where both sides have a real shot.

So I’m honestly wondering—is Dota 2 actually fun in its current state? Or is this just how the meta is now and I need to adapt?
