Group was complaining about gym rules

Long story short: we have a training group at our mountaineering club in Germany (DAV) and were talking about the option to go to the bouldering gym when the weather is bad.

All the parents were Company about that kids below 8 are just allowed in the kids area and have to be 16 to go to the special training are with boards and weights. There are tons of good reasons for that (adults falling on kids who are not aware of above…) and I was defending the gym but they were just like „this discriminates children and parents“. The gym has a big kids area but one parent has to watch them, but both parents want to be in the „adult area“, because the „kid area ia loud an boring“. When you bring your kids you have to watch them and follow the rules 😤🙄🙄🙄
