Medals from other branches

Good day everyone, I hope to not get shit on for asking this but I have a question for the ones that have received medals from other branches. I’m currently getting sent up for an army commendation medal where I’m stationed and have been helping the army out tremendously. I know certain medals that we get in the Air Force give us additional points whenever we test, but would the same thing apply to medals from other branches? I know that the Air Force comm gives 3 but does that mean the army comm gives us 3 as well even though it’s from the army? Or is it simply bragging rights for us? Thanks in advance yall 🙏🏽
