Does Ghost from MW (reboot) have the same backstory as OG Ghost?

I'm confused as I've read that they're two separate people as MW19 and all of its sequels are rebooted. Does that mean Reboot Ghost shares the same traumatic backstory as OG Ghost, or are they different?
