Child nosebleeds
Male 6 years old 45 lbs USA No known medical conditions
I’ll start with, I’m a mom who panics big time. With that being said, my son has had a handful of nosebleeds in the last 2 years. I’ve noticed he’s always sniffling, and rubbing his nose. I do have Flonase for him and I try to use it daily but he hates it. I also have a saline spray. He had a nosebleed wake him up last night. It was quick to stop and he went back to sleep. Today we were playing outside (we live in a tropical climate in Guam) and it started bleeding. He said “I was rubbing it”. Are nosebleeds normal in children? Do I need to make him an appointment? Can they be completely random? He had one in the car once (probably 1.5 years ago now) and that was his first one. I’ve noticed when he has them it’s not due to an injury. I guess that’s my worry?
