Premium vs Sport- both with options packages

I’m in the market for a new car have eventually settled on the Crosstrek.

I’m having a heck of a time justifying the Sport vs the Premium.

If you get the options package in both vehicles, aren’t they virtually identical? You get a nicer color scheme with the green but I think that’s about it. Right?

I mean, the leather steering wheel and shifter can’t be worth that much more, right?

Like, why does the Sport trim even exist right now?

Also, I could wait a few more months for the 2026 (or wait for the 2025 to get marked down), but I’m not sure if I would get a better deal than what I’m offered now.

Also, I have no interest in the Hybrid unless I got the Limited with the sunroof but I feel like the price is outrageous at that point even with the potential fuel savings.
