AITA for confirming if my newly found friends cheated on our quiz?

I, 21F, am in college at the moment and this school year we had transferees from a different school. I made friends with the two of them during our OJT, let's name them Kelly and Claire. So Kelly, Claire and I bonded during our OJT and I told my old friends about them, at first they're happy that Kelly and Claire opened up a friendship with me, with us. And then here's the tea, an old schoolmate of them told my friend, let's call my friend Oliv, that they cheated during our quiz on one subject and then my friend told me about it. For timeline, I knew the issue Thursday, and then I told Kelly and Claire Wednesday the next week, because I gtahered my thoughts and what I'm only going to say to them. I didn't go on with the details on who told who, I just said that there's a rumor abt it and I want to confirm from Kelly amd Claire if it was true. They denied the accusations and told me that if ever they are called in the office, they will gladly tell my prof that they will retake the quiz to prove that they didn't cheat. The cheating mentioned is, when it is time to check the papers they didn't allegedly exchanged their papers and put the right answers on the unanswered numbers and then they scored high.

Fast forward, I told my friend Oliv what Kelly and Claire told me and she said, "Why did you even tell them?" like I should supposed to kep quiet and stay one-sided biatch. I don't like that kind of feeling myself, being misjudged by people who only heard one side of the story and proceeeds to judge me based on what they heard. So on my end, I wanted to hear them out if they'll deny it or own it. I explained myself to Oliv that I want to hear both sides of the story and then I thought it was alr okaaaay.

The next morning, which is today. Yes, it happened last night! So the next morning we had a class and I thought everything is okay, not until we were dismissed from class and then Oliv talked to my boardmate, I live in a boarding house near my school. Let's name the boardmate Sam, so Oliv and Sam talked where I can't here them bc I was having a meeting with my group mates abt a video project. I got curious and asked Sam what did Oliv tell her bc it seemed serious. She said, "Nothing much, it's about your issues within your circle" or something like that, I don't know how to translate it better. So I was adamant to know what was it that they talked abt, and she said that if I wanna know I need to ask Oliv about it. I was abt to message Oliv but Sam alr told me what they were really talking abt. It was the issue that I told Kelly and Claire that allegedly cheating issue of them. I was furious, I went home crying, thankful for the rain that it didn't make it obvious I was crying. I left all the groupchats with my circle of friends that Oliv was in and then she messaged me, "Why?"

I alr told her what happened, and what I felt abt what she and Sam were talking abt. Until now I haven't got a reponse from her. So AITA?
