But it can’t be… can it?

Hi all, I‘m starting to fall into the rabbit hole again that I thought I had dug my way out of. :( After 6 months of symptoms and a visit to the neurology clinic 4 months in, things are getting worse and I‘m back to asking myself if this isn‘t maybe ALS after all. -started with twitches in my right foot and twitches here and there all over my body. (following a few month of sciatica on the LEFT side, so probably unrelated)

  • right leg very wobbly now when I stand on one leg, with a constant feeling of weakness from the knee down. Along with permanent fasciculations in that leg. Fourth toe snaps with every step.
  • constant buzzing burning tongue on the left, neuro confirmed it‘s fasciculations. I feel like I keep stumbling over words and keep having to correct myself.
  • my right hand feels slower, but that might just be my imagination. Here comes the twist: I‘ve had similar symptoms (fascics and right leg problems - though it was more of a ‚weak feeling‘ rather than actual instability) 10 YEARS AGO! Also had a big ALS panic back then and the whole ordeal lasted 1 1/2 years. So I kept thinking ‚Well, surely, it can‘t be the big bad NOW, it would just be too weird.‘ But these leg problems and the tongue are just getting worse, so I don‘t know anymore… I was cleared at the hospital 2 months ago, but I made an appointment with a neuromuscular specialist for next monday to do a follow up EMG, before I start spiraling out of control again. Very concerned… Any words of wisdom? Thanks for reading.
