Laptop keyboard won't work after deleting it to "update it"

After a windows update, few of my laptop's keyboard keys won't function so I searched on youtube how to fix it and all the how-to-fix-it videos I watched said the same thing which is to delete the keyboard driver so that it will be reinstalled after restarting the laptop

After the restart, I was able to open the lock screen with the space bar and type in my security pin but the entire keyboard won't function for anything else. But what's weirder is that I can hear the clicks the buttons make.

I also have tried attaching e(x)ternal keyboards but the issue still persists :(

What could be the reason why this happened and what can I do to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated and I'm sorry if my English might not be good, I'm not a native speaker
