This epistle discusses the impact of Pope Francis's 2021 motu proprio, Traditionis Custodes, which significantly restricted the celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass after it had been more widely permitted by Pope Benedict XVI. It highlights the discontent and pain experienced by many traditional Catholics, who feel alienated by these new rules, which limit where and how the Old Rite can be celebrated. I express hope that the newly elected Pope Leo XIV will reverse or ease these restrictions, given his apparent inclination towards traditional practices, and I argue that the continued suppression of the Traditional Latin Mass contradicts the Church's stated goals of unity and tradition. I also emphasize the spiritual value and growth of the Traditional Latin Mass community despite the challenges, ultimately urging the new Pope to restore its rightful place within the Church to avoid perpetuating the perceived harm.

"Guarding the Deposit of Faith is the mission which the Lord has entrusted to his Church and which she fulfils in every age." - Pope John Paul II
