How do you convince a person who has seen his/her networth tripple or sometimes quadruple by virtue of a tarmac road being constructed along their piece of land that they should dump Ichung'wa and vote for another person.

How do you convince those people in Northern Kenya who have been abandoned for so many years that Ruto is bad for them despite him constructing the Isiolo - Mandera road?

Politics is all about perception, people in Marsabit believe that the Moyale - Marsabit highway was completed because Ukur Yattani was in government, in northern Kenya they believe that Isiolo - Mandera is being constructed because Duale ,Noordin are in government, and if we are being honest it's not without cause..they have been promised these roads for so many years, it's only when their person was in government that they got that road, Wajir for example got it's first tarmac road in 2014 which is right after Duale, became majority leader, it doesn't matter that he is from Garissa but the perception is that things started moving only after their own got a seat.

In western sugar millers are back ,now they don't even have enough cane to mill and some have temporarily closed, this revival as you will note has happened just after their 'own' became part of government. I'm from Kikuyu constituency and ever since I was a child they have been promising us tarmac roads ,Muite, a second liberation hero was here ,promised us a road, then came Nguyai ,did nothing...things only changed when we got a vocal Mp i.e Ichung'wa now they are tarmacking almost everywhere.

We may not like it and I may get insulted and downvoted but this is how it is ,this is how politics works, people want to see tangible results and have their interests covered and people are resistant to change, Northern Kenya for example will not back Maraga over Ruto, when their leaders who are the first to have delivered where so many others have failed tell them to vote Ruto. Btw this is why all over the world people seek political endorsements from the various kingpins and leaders in various sectors and areas of the place they're vying for. There's a reason Rigathi carries Natembeya when going to western, Matiang'i when going to Kisii and so on.

We may hype Maraga up online now , but if dude doesn't play politics he'll end up with a maximum of 300 k votes in 2027.
