[all] the children of the minor gods deserve better in hoo

the last olympian made such a big deal about the minor gods and their kids being ignored, only for them to be ignored again in hoo

like, the entire kronos war literally started because of this. ethan nakamura, said it himself that they were tired because the olympians acted like only the big 12 mattered.

and by the end of the war, ethan and luke died for equality and the gods promised to recognize and claim their other children. everyone acted like this was gonna be a huge shift.

so where was this shift in heroes of olympus?

all we got was their cabins being made, one child of hecate (lou ellen), an iris and hypnos kid (butch and clovis), and the rest of the seven/mcs still being big three + major god kids.

rick could've easily made one of the prophecy members a minor god's child, or made characters like lou ellen play a larger part, but didnt

imagine how powerful it would’ve been if one of the seven wasn’t from a ‘big name’ god. like, imagine a child of nemesis balancing justice and revenge, or a nike kid being victorious

instead, we get a prophecy about another world shaking war, and the people who were most affected by the last one are back to being side characters

the minor gods’ kids were the spark that ignited a literal civil war. and then rick just forgot about them

not only is that frustrating, it kinda undermines the entire message of tlo and luke+ethan's sacrifice

they fought to be seen, and still weren’t
