AIO?

Was debating posting this the other day,

Okay for context: Just got off of work and I had only 12 miles of fuel left on my car. ( I have a plug in hybrid that I can either charge or put gas in. With soley gas it gives me about 28/30 mpg of range.)

Anyway I go into this Shell gas station, and all of the pumps have seals that look like they been tampered with they don't have a tap to pay option only a insert card.

I'm fairly skeptical of inserting my card esp with the seal looking like it was peeled and reapplied a couple of different times. So I opt to use cash, but In cash I only had $5 on me and I was like let me put atleast $5 worth of gas.

He hands me a prepay receipt for $5. And I'm like okay cool with this I'll have at least 12 + 28 mpg of fuel in my car. Should be good until I can find a tap to pay gas station. Anyway after I fill the gas with $5,
I notice the fuel remained at 12

I go inside and explain to the attendant that I came in with 12 miles of range and after starting my car and what not it's still showing 12 miles of range!

He says he doesn't understand. He prints out the reciept and shows me that I pumped $5. (On the pump) I try to explain that I had 12 miles of range already, and with my car 1 gallon ($5) should give me at least (fuck it let's say I came in with 0 miles of fuel left, it should still fill it up to the very least 28mpg!

The attendant looked annoyed and was like I'm not making any sense... He's like "sir you only put in $5 of gas, that's $5 of gas right there" After just shaking my head I just left and finally made it to a tap to pay pump.

Anyway I got scammed didn't I? Lol

Also dont these seals on the pump look like they were tempered with/peeled and reapplied? Or am I tripping?

Tldr version:
Just got off of work and only had 12 miles of fuel left in my car. After filling the tank for $5. The fuel remained at the same 12 miles of fuel(range)

Ok two questions,

Do these security seals look like they have been tampered with or are they legit? (Would you have inserted your card into this pump?

And Did I just get scammed? For 5 bucks worth of gas? Lmao

AIO? Did I get scammed? Lol
