Trying to make life easier at work...(help 😂)
Hi all
I'm hoping someone in here might be able to help me.
We currently use an excel spreadsheet to collate date for returns. We have a couple of worksheets, but the important ones for this are "Returns Authorisations 2025" and "Credit Notes."
The Returns Authorisation sheet is filled in manually, based on customer order information, what they need to return etc.
Once we have received their returned items, we input "Authorised for credit" into Column O on that sheet and then manually move the information over to the Credit Notes worksheet. To add an additional layer of complexity, the layout on that sheet is slightly different because it doesn't require all the information from the Return Authorisation sheet and the staff member who raises the Credit Notes prefers the info in a particular order.
SO
What I would like to be able to do in an ideal world is to automatically move the date from the Authorisation worksheet to the Credit Note worksheet when it's marked as "authorised for credit". In the work related utopia I dream of, I'd also like it to shuffle the data into the correct columns in the Credit Note worksheet but I accept this may be a step too far.
I found some code online which worked to pull the data between worksheets, but it put it all at the bottom of the credit note sheet, which wasn't ideal. I need a way for it to find the next empty row (currently 235) and put the data in there, without ALWAYS putting the data in the same row (so always needs to be the next empty row if that makes sense).
I would be INCREDIBLY grateful if anyone could help with this, even just pointing me in the right direction of some resources. I've not dealt with Macros for 20 years (last time I did was for my GCSEs!) and I'm totally new to VBA.
Thank you in advance wise ones :)
