A Question On Celestia’s “European” Appearance

This is a question I got after getting into the 1st game of the series, titled Danganronpa: Happy Trigger Havoc

In Free Time Events, we meet The Ultimate Gambler: Celestia Ludenburg During the first Free Time Events, the protgaonist Makoto is informed by Celestia Ludenburg that her parents are high status, and are French and German. Since she is known as The Queen Of Liars, is it surprising that Makoto is suspicious on how true that is. She later states she is sure she is European, and not Japanese.

Before her execution, it is revealed she is a Japanese girl with the birth name Taeko Yasuhiro, and is not European… AT ALL.

So, my question. Since Europeans and Asians have very different features, does that mean Celestia in-universe got surgery or uses make-up to appear European? Like, before the Killing Game started? How would the characters notice she’s European, and not Japanese by looking at her? I believe she did something because she tries so hard to keep up this fake persona

Also, I know that the Danganronpa characters have the same eye shape. For example, Sonia Nevermind, a European, has the same eye shape as the other Japanese characters. But other characters have different blatant racial features like Hagakure Yasuhiro, or Angie Yonaga, which let others know they’re not Japanese, or are have some in them.

So, how does Celestia’s physical Europeanness work?
