Tesco colleague
Sorry for the lengthly post in advance!
Hi new to the sub reddit but I've worked for Tesco many years. Just need a bit of rant after my morning.
My attendance isn't very good right now over double where they wil havel attendance review meetings with me.
Im Currently pregnant my 2nd pregnancy, my first ended in a miscarriage last August.
My work is fully aware of my circumstances.
Today I turned up at work and questioned if I could go on checkouts for the morning. As I wasn't feeling very good.
I was told no due to not having staff on the shop floor. And that I should go home.
I asked for 1 hour on check out in the hope I would feel well enough after.
I wasn't I tried to do some jobs on the shop floor in the morning it's a lot of cleaning and fixing missing labels ect.
I told them I would go home as I was struggling.
Which resulted in being told People get pregnant all the time. that as long as everything goes well I will have another 7 months of this and at this rate I will be in and out of work all the time. And some days ill just need to man up. And that I should call in daily to let them know if im coming in.
I barely got a chance to fully explain how I was feeling Only mentioning feeling faint nausea.
When I was on the bus this morning I got so hot I was sweating and couldn't cool down. I felt so awful I got off the bus only to feel very faint while trying to walk. I got some cold water and sipped at it till I got into work. Sat down for 5 min trying to find the strength to speak to someone...
The systems seem to have passed a little while I was sat at check outs but once I got onto the shop floor moving around was bringing back the faint feelings and I started to just get upset and felt really week.
All my management team that are aware tell me they are there for me and are there to help. Everytime I've been off and come back. All I ask for in the back to work meeting is for understanding.
Yet I don't feel like im getting it.
Advice welcome
