Opening Links in Outlook classic and new
Hi There
Since migrating to Windows 11 24H2 with Intune-only management, we are experiencing issues with opening internal links in both the classic and new versions of Outlook. These links point to OneDrive paths and Azure File Storage paths, which are translated via a DFS namespace to simplify access through mapped network drives.
On Windows 10, this setup worked flawlessly.
Currently, our users have to manually copy the URLs and paste them into File Explorer to access the resources. They have full permissions, and I’ve already added the FQDNs and other relevant entries to the Trusted Sites in Internet Options.
I also tried using the same Outlook version that we used on Windows 10, but the issue persists.
Outlook classic Version: Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2505 Build 16.0.18827.20102) 64 Bit
Outlook new Version: 1.2025.702.500
Error: Something unexpected went wrong with this url
